Who a home visit makes sense for

We travel to people who currently can't make it to Holtenauer Straße – whether temporarily after a procedure or on a long-term basis.

What we bring – and what helps on site

Our therapists bring everything a treatment needs – a few square metres of free space in your home is all we need.

What we bring along

  • Treatment pad and fresh sheet cover for bed or sofa
  • Theraband, small equipment and positioning materials for seated exercises
  • Bandaging material for compression after lymphatic drainage
  • Massage oil and towel as well as disinfectant
  • Documentation for the prescription and a written exercise plan for you

This helps us help you

  • About two by two metres of open space so we can move around you
  • A sturdy bed or couch we can access from both sides
  • Non-slip shoes or grip socks for walking and balance exercises
  • Comfortable clothing that isn't constricting
  • Please keep dogs and cats in another room, with house number and doorbell clearly visible
On these two days we travel around the Kiel city area. We'll coordinate the exact time of day with you by phone. The practice can be reached Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm, appointments by arrangement.

Out and about in Kiel

Therapy comes up the stairs

Fourth floor with no lift, rear building, a care bed in the living room – these are everyday addresses for us. What matters isn't the journey, but that the treatment doesn't get missed.

Request a home visit

From the call to the treatment

Four steps separate your first call to +49 30 23125107 from the first treatment in your home.

  1. 1

    Enquiry

You call us or write to us via our enquiry form. We ask for the address, floor, diagnosis and who can be reached on site. Family members or the care service may also submit the enquiry on your behalf.

  2. 2

    Checking the prescription

We look at the medical prescription: does it state "home visit", is the type of therapy and number of sessions noted, is it still valid? If anything is missing, we clarify this directly with the prescribing practice.

  3. 3

    Appointment confirmation

You receive a slot on a Tuesday or Thursday, along with a time window and the name of your therapist. We also schedule the follow-up appointments for the prescription right away, so the series isn't interrupted.

  4. 4

    Treatment at home

We ring the bell at the agreed time, set up the space and begin treatment. At the end, you receive exercises for the days in between, and we sign off the session on the prescription.

The home visit must be prescribed by a doctor. On the prescription from your GP or specialist practice, the "home visit" box must be ticked – without this note, treatment may only take place at the practice, and the health insurer won't cover the travel. Ask your doctor's practice about this before you collect the prescription.

We travel within Kiel. Our service area is the Kiel city area around our location at Holtenauer Straße 100. If your address is outside this area, feel free to call us – we'll tell you honestly whether a visit is possible, and otherwise point you to practices near you.

Questions about prescriptions, co-payments and billing are answered on the page Prescription and billing.
